Manufacturing Standards and Materials

• Manufacture in accordance with the European Directive PED 2014/68/UE
• Carbon steel wall S275JR (or higher) according to European Standard EN10025 or AISI 304/316 according to ASTM A240
• Korbbogen-type carbon steel S275JR (or higher) dished end bottoms according to European Standard UNI EN 10025-2
• Manufacturing pressure: according to project
• Working pressure: 10/16/25 bar (other on request)
• Operating temperature: -10 °C./+50 °C.
• SA grade 2 ½” steel shot according to ISO 8501-1
• Welds:
  • by submerged arc machine [S .A.W.] (where possible)
  • by semi-automatic machine [M .I.G./M.A.G.] (in other places)

 

Materials and Manufacture

• Carbon steel body S275JR (or higher)
• Korbbogen-type domed bottoms in carbon steel or stainless steel
• Interior with Ebonite coating (synthetic resin)
• Welds:
  • by submerged arc machine [S .A.W.] (where possible)
  • by semi-automatic machine [M .I.G./M.A.G.] (in other places)

 

Standard Equipment

• Manhole with lid and respective fittings (tanks ≥ 3m³)
• Touch-up paint KIT
• Air pressure gauge
• Safety valve
• ½” manual purge valve
• Preload sticker
• Hazard sticker (pressure equipment)
• Lifting eyes

 

Surface Protection

• Tank submitted to the following surface treatment scheme:

Internally:

• Pickling by grade SA 2 ½” steel pellet
• Application of ebonite coating

Externally:

• Stripping with SA 2 ½” grade steel pellet
• Epoxi painting rich in zinc
• Intermediary paint [> 125μm]
• 2 Component Polyurethane Paint in Blue [> 50μm] (others to be defined)

• RX Exam according: Building Code
• Dimensional inspection
• Control of paint thickness
