Underground Tanks

For Jet Double Wall Steel/Steel

 

Manufacturing Standards

  • Tanks manufactured in accordance with European Standard EN12285-1;
  • Double-wall in carbon steel of S235JR grade according to the European Standard EN10025 with an interstitial chamber;
  • MRC type bottoms in carbon steel of grade S235JR according to the European Standard EN10025;
  • Leak detection system according to European Standard EN13160;
  • Steel shot to grade SA 2 1/2 ”according to ISO 8501-1;

 

Materials and Procedures

  • Carbon steel walls;
  • Vacuum interstitial chamber (optional gel kit);
  • Carbon steel bottoms;
  • Butt welding by Submerged Arc Machine (S.A.W.) where possible, and/or semiautomatic (M.I.G./M.A.G.) on other locations.

 

Standard Equipment

  • Leak detection kit;
  • Shut-off valve;
  • Vacuum gauge;
  • Manhole with cap and respective pricks;
  • Graduated probe ruler in anodized aluminum;
  • Lifting lugs;
  • Support feet with ~ 2º of inclination;
  • Purge pot;
  • Breather;

 

Surface Protection

  • Stripping by steel shot to grade S.A. 2 1/2 ”;
  • Internal surfaces and weldings in a natural state, clean and properly dried;
  • Application of anti-corrosion primer and 2-component polyurethane paint coating.

 

Inspection and Testing

  • Tightness test by hydraulic test to the inner body at 0.75 bar and pressure to the interstitial chamber at 0.1 bar and vacuum of -0.35 bar;
  • Dimensional control;
  • Ink thickness control;
  • Visual test of the welds.

 

Optional

  • Probe rod guide tube;
  • Floating aspiration;
  • Piping and filling and suction nozzle;
  • Gel kit for interstitial chamber;
  • Ladder with handrail and runway (except in tanks ≤ Ø1500mm.);
  • Platform and balcony;
  • Interior paint suitable for the fuel liquid to be contained: Jet A1.
